About Cities from Above - Professional Aerial Photograpy and Video
History
Cities from Above began in Navarre, Florida shooting aerial photographs along the beaches. Responding to growing need for professional aerial video services along the coast, Cites From Above expanded with the addition of a stabilized camera mount system. Our aerial video service has been so popular that we decided to take our video a step farther and purchase our own stabilized camera turret system. Our newest camera system has both color video and infrared thermal imagery in a single stabilized camera turret. This combination of equipment will help Cities From Above to provide a large array of camera services along the Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana coastline.
Our Team
Blake Avant, Director of Operations- Blake has 20 years of aviation experience along the Florida and Alabama coastline. Blake started his aviation career in the U.S. Air Force where he served as crew member on the Air Force's MH-53 Pave Low helicopter. Blake has also held the positon of Captain on a jet airliner for over 8 years as an Airline Transport Pilot. Blake holds both Airplane and Helicopter Commercial Pilot certificates, Flight Instructor ratings in both categories, and has logged over 8,000 flight hours in both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft.
Blake also holds a College Degree in Aviation, and is a member of the Professional Aerial Photographers Association
